Judge Karahan was one of several panelists for Haven of Hope’s “Unity in the Community” outreach event, bringing together citizens, law enforcement, and judges to hear and discuss concerns about criminal justice and law enforcement relations with the community.

Judge Karahan was pleased to introduce the criminal justice system to Boy Scouts from the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences’ summer scouting program. Each Scout received a copy of the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and Judge Karahan answered many excellent questions.
